The crew at the Scottsdale Raintree Kerry’s location is phenomenal. This was the second time I brought my vehicle (Dodge RAM) in for repair, and it was because of how well they treated me on my first visit. I have not personally interacted with the mechanics, but I have nothing but good things to say about the rest of the staff. James is extremely personable & knowledgeable. He will call you BEFORE he gives the crew the “OK” to start the repair, thoroughly reviewing each individual transaction, explaining what it is and why it’s needed. He stays true to his word: If he says he’ll call by 3 PM the same day, he’ll call by 3 PM the same day. Something you just don’t see nowadays, especially in car repair service. He doesn’t mind striking up conversation with you either, even if it has nothing to do with the repair. Tammy, the GM, is also fantastic. In my most recent visit, they changed out my air/cabin filters & swapped out an evap switch. I had around 50 questions (No joke, you can ask her) & she answered every single one of them, in detail. She never got annoyed & you could tell she felt it was worth the time to ensure my questions and concerns were heard. She sees the bigger picture. She knows this is what you must do to secure repeat business. She is a farmer, not necessarily a hunter. What do I mean by that? Hunters go out and find new business. New clients. Farmers will do whatever they can to continue to receive business from existing customers. A strategy that is much more effective in the long run if you ask me. These are the kinds of things I really appreciate when analyzing where/who to give my business to. I will always prefer in-person communication over call/text, even in today’s world. These people just make it that easy. Now, Kerry’s will not do bodywork, but if you ask them, they will give you the contact of someone they know that does in Glendale. Because I’ve established that client/customer bond with the staff, I fully trust their advice and recommendations. Just fantastic. The only thing stopping me from supplying this review with 5 stars is the price they charge on ‘Per hour labor.’ If I’m being honest, I don’t fully agree with their philosophy of “Not knowing how long a job or certain action will take” and having that be the reason labor charges are either high for easy jobs or charged at one consistent rate for all. That didn’t make sense to me. But I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s an invalid practice compared to what else is out there. And I only know so much about what it takes to repair a vehicle, so take that with a grain of salt. Overall, I was more than satisfied with my experience and will continue bringing my RAM to Kerry’s for future service(s).
